The Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Boy now features tap tempo, five different note subdivisions to choose from, expression pedal control over your choice of Rate, Depth, Feedback, or Delay, and an effects loop.
Similar to Memory Boy there is also the Depth knob controlling the waveform as well as the effect depth. The added effects loop allows you to add your own modulation as well.

Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory BoyThis pedal can get some very interesting sounds with its rate/depth control. Also the cutoff it has allows a good tuning of the sound. Beware that this is an analog delay so it can get "muddy" and dark, which can be good if you want that kind of sound but if you want clear repetitions go for a digital delay.
Im using this delay pedal with Arturia Microbrute synth. Ive been looking for something that would play nicely with its dark analog sount, so decided not to go for a digital delay unit. I think that this pedal is a good choice, after playing with some knobs (it has plenty of them!) you can dial is a very tasty sound. Especially loving it around mid-midbass area. Just what I was looking for to add color to raw synth sound.
