The Glockenklang Blue Bird Top convinces as the latest creation of the Herford specialists for high-caliber bass amplifiers not only with a particularly clear and detailed sound, but also with an enormous flexibility, which makes the handy top the ideal all-rounder for almost any genre. While the modern Class D power amplifier with up to 900 watts of power promises maximum volume reserves even for large stages, the active 5-band equalizer and the switchable overdrive allow you to precisely adjust the perfect Bass sound. In addition to two switchable inputs and a parallel effect path, a DI-out for direct pickup and contemporary Speaker Twist speaker connections complete the Blue Bird amplifier from Glockenklang.
The Glockenklang Blue Bird bass amplifier offers extensive but intuitive options for adjusting the optimal bass sound.
Flexible equalization
The heart of the Glockenklang Blue Bird Head is undoubtedly the enormously flexible active equalizer with five carefully selected frequency bands. While the bass and treble controls of the EQ have fixed center frequencies, the pots for high and low mids each offer two switchable frequency settings. The midrange control, which is responsible for the particularly important areas of the bass sound, is also semi-parametric and has its own potentiometer for precisely selecting the frequency range to be boosted or cut. To tame instruments with particularly strong low frequencies, the Blue Bird bass stop also features a bass cut that can be adjusted between 20 Hz and 80 Hz.
Integrated overdrive
Fans of distorted bass sounds will get their money's worth thanks to the Blue Bird's straightforward but surprisingly sonorous overdrive circuitry. Depending on the position of the Drive and Level controls, the head delivers a wide range of distorted bass sounds, from the glorious vintage grind with just the right amount of dirt in the tone to devastating distortion that leaves no stone unturned. Bass also has a switchable voice filter for adjusting the tonal character of distorted sounds.
