With the Ibanez Gio GSR180-BEM Baltic Blue Metallic, the traditional Japanese company once again proves to be ahead in the entry-level field with high-quality manufactured and outstanding sounding electric basses. The 4-string electric bass features a poplar body in a stylish Soundgear design, a quick playing maple neck and two Ibanez Dynamix J single coils for a versatile sound spectrum.
Like all instruments in the Ibanez Gio series, the Ibanez Gio GSR180-BEM Baltic Blue Metallic also features the proven high quality manufacturing for long-lasting playing pleasure. With poplar for the body and maple for the bolted neck, a traditional wood combination is used, while the extra-slim "GSR4" profile lies comfortably in the hand and allows even beginners to play the electric bass without any fatigue. To ensure everyone finding their way between the 22 frets of the Amaranth fingerboard, classic dot inlays mark the positions.
No matter in which direction the musical journey with the Ibanez Gio GSR180-BEM Baltic Blue Metallic should go, with its two Ibanez Dynamix J single-coil pickups and the linear passive switch it always delivers the right bass sound. The signals of both pickups can be mixed with each other via the two volume controls, so that a wide range of different timbres is available. The spectrum ranges from the dry, assertive wire sound of the bridge pickup to the profound yet transparent deep bass boost of the middle pickup, which is given additional variability by the passive treble cut-off.
In addition, the Ibanez Gio GSR180-BEM Baltic Blue Metallic features high-quality hardware with unlimited functionality that guarantees long-lasting playing pleasure. At the bridge, the strings are held by the Ibanez B10 bridge, which guarantees perfect adjustment of intonation and string position due to four adjustable saddles. From there, the strings run with 34" scale length (864 mm) towards the headstock, where they are held by precise die-cast tuners that keep the tuning long and secure.

This was my very first guitar. I still love it, and I enjoy playing it. The basses neck is very nice and suits my hand perfectly. The only thing I would change on this bass is the plastic knobs. Otherwise, its a beautiful guitar, and it plays well. Excellent for beginners.
Bought this for my 14yr old grand daughter who is learning to play bass. As an ex bassist myself, I found this bass easy to play, nice action and good feel. Clear, crisp sound. Good response with the amp. Very pleased with it.
Der Bass hat ein dauerhaftes zummen, leicht nervig, egal wie hoch oder niedrig ich den “Action” drehe
