As a representative of the popular Soundgear family, the Ibanez Standard SR405EQM offers unparalleled playability. Accordingly, the Nyatoh body with its curved line always assumes a perfectly balanced position both on the strap and on the thigh, whereas the five-piece maple walnut neck lies comfortably in the hand thanks to the flat "SR5" profile, so that on the Jatoba fretboard every note plays as if by magic. The quilted maple top is the visual highlight of this electric bass with its intensive grain brought to life by the transparent finish.
The electrical sound conversion of the Ibanez Standard SR405EQM-SKG Surreal Black Burst Gloss is taken care of by two Ibanez PowerSpan dual-coil pickups in the middle and bridge positions, which lay the foundation for a versatile sound spectrum with perfect integration of the low B-string. In addition to the powerful humbucker mode, two further coil combinations can be called up via the "Power Tap" switch. Here, the "Tap" mode delivers transparent single-coil sounds, whereas the "Power Tap" mode stands for fat, yet finely articulated sounds. The active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ allows for precise tuning of the sound character.
The Ibanez Standard SR405EQM-SKG Surreal Black Burst Gloss is equipped with the high-quality, indestructible hardware typical of Ibanez instruments. The Ibanez Accus-Cast B305 bridge on the body of the instrument supports a smooth sound development and long sustain thanks to its massive construction. Furthermore five individually adjustable string saddles guarantee an optimal adjustment of intonation and string position.
