Steve Vai Signature guitar with DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups and Edge tremolo, including case
The IBANEZ Steve Vai PIA3761-XB Onyx Black Signature electric guitar is the next evolutionary step of the model developed together with the legendary guitar virtuoso, named "Paradise In Art". Here, naturally optimized playing characteristics meet the extremely flexible sounds of the specially developed DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups, so that the guitar turns out to be an all-rounder for every playing technique and musical style. In addition to the alder body with petal grip and the bolt-on maple-walnut neck, Ibanez uses a rosewood fingerboard with stainless steel binding and PIA Blossom inlay. Last but not least, an Edge double-locking tremolo and Gotoh tuners complete the PIA3761-XB Onyx Black Signature electric guitar from Ibanez.
The Ibanez Steve Vai PIA3761-XB Onyx Black convinces with extremely agile playing characteristics and the flexible sounds of its DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups.
Electric guitar with extremely agile playing characteristics
The next evolutionary step from the legendary JEM, the Ibanez PIA naturally impresses with extroverted looks and agile playing characteristics. With subtly modified lines and more rounded edges, the alder body offers comfortable handling, while the Petal Grip and Lion's Claw routing for the tremolo add visual accents. Four-bolt, the flat maple-walnut neck offers smooth playing characteristics all the way to the highest registers of the rosewood fingerboard, where the intricate PIA Blossom inlay marks the registers. Stainless steel frets in jumbo format and the scalloping from the 21st to the 24th fret also promise smooth bendings.
DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups and high-pass filter
The electric tone conversion of the Steve Vai PIA is handled by DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups specially developed for the electric guitar, whose elaborate design integrates perfectly into the overall look. An evolutionary step up from the legendary Evolution pickup, the bridge-mounted DiMarzio UtoPIA Bridge Humbucker delivers tight bass response and a sweet treble spectrum that delivers every note with precision and control. For fluid soloing and fat clean sounds, the DiMarzio UtoPIA neck humbucker is recommended, while the UtoPIA single-coil in the middle position offers a lively and treble-rich sound. To prevent the low frequencies from gaining the upper hand and making the tone seem dull when the volume control is turned down, the push-pull switch activates a high-pass filter if desired, which provides harmonic brilliance.
Edge Tremolo with Ultralite Lever
As a Steve Vai Signature electric guitar, the Ibanez PIA3761-XB Onyx Black is naturally equipped with an Ibanez Edge Double-Locking Tremolo for detuning-free vibratos. The Lion's Claw milling under the system allows wide bendings up and down, while the Ultralite tremolo lever made of carbon is especially comfortable in the hand. For quick access to the tremolo springs for adjustments, the spring chamber is closed by a convenient magnetic cover. Behind the locking saddle, Gotoh tuners also ensure precise tuning of the electric guitar.
