Full solid construction and fretted fingerboard
The solid mahogany top, back and sides of the Fretted U-Bass combined with the factory-wound Road Toad Pahoehoe strings deliver a particularly warm sound with a deep bass foundation and dynamics reminiscent of double basses. The fretted fingerboard with dot inlays for marking the positions guarantees a clean intonation in all positions.
Shadow NFX pickup system, Hipshot Tuner
For amplified stage use or convenient recording in the recording studio, the Kala U-Bass ukulele bass is equipped with the convenient Shadow U-Bass NFX pickup system, which transmits the sound unaltered to the amplifier. Besides volume and tone controls, the preamp provides an additional tuner for quick tuning of the bass ukulele. High-quality Hipshot Custom Ultralite tuners also promise high tuning stability.
