The neck of roasted maple is fivefold bolted to the body of the JP15 via a contoured neck foot.
Slim okoumé body & curly maple.
The aim of the woods used in this JP15 is to provide the lightest possible weight, the greatest possible resonance and a stunning appearance. Accordingly, Music Man relies on a body made of Okoumé, which is finished with a noble Figured Maple top. The neck and the fretboard of the JP15, which is equipped with 24 stainless steel frets in medium jumbo format, are made of roasted curly maple and are screwed fivefold to the body via the contoured neck foot, in order to elicit a good response from the construction at maximum Sustain.
DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers and the piezo system integrated into the bridge, together with a custom preamp, provide a rich sound spectrum.

As a true John Petrucci model, the JP15 Cerulean Paradise features two signature humbuckers designed especially for John. Two DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers, wound by US pickup giant DiMarzio, are used in the neck and bridge positions and give the instrument its famously powerful and clear sound, which expertly showcases juicy leads and complex riffs. Thanks to the additional boost function, which is located in the push/push function of the volume control, up to 20db of extra gain are available to give the amp sound additional assertiveness when needed.
Schaller M6 locking tuners with pearloid wings guarantee precise tuning with unshakable stability.

As a welcome addition to the magnetic pickup sound, the Custom John Petrucci Music Man Floating Tremolo is equipped with Fishman Powerbridge Ghost piezo tail pieces to provide clear and airy acoustic tones at any time. On the back of the instrument , trim pots for Mag Boost, Piezo 2-band EQ and Mag/Piezo Mix offer a wide range of fine-tuning options, while the separate outputs can be used to output the outgoing pickup signals either separately or as a mix. The headstock sorgen also features Schaller M6-IND locking tuners in the usual "4+2" arrangement for precise Tuning with unshakable stability.
