The Masters Maple Reserve series from Pearl stands for classic drum sound of the highest quality. The thin kettles made of the finest maple wood produce a soft, open sound with a classic resonant shimmer.
The equipment offers FatTone Hoops, Aluminum OptiMount and Remo skins as well as a full size bass drum cushion.
Like all Masters boilers from Pearl, the Masters Maple Reverse drums go through the typical painting and finishing process in 38 steps. In combination with the warm maple sound, optically and sonically extraordinary instruments are created, which are contemporary but nevertheless convincing with a subtle touch of vintage.
Only the Masters Maple Reverse boilers are fitted with a special reinforcement ring by Pearl. This promises the robustness and stability of the thin boiler, but also tonal control is guaranteed. The resonant boilers make Masters Maple Reserve drum kits the ideal choice for almost any style of music, delivering a rich, full sound with a lively punch and smooth, round bass.
With the FatTone Hoops, the Masters Maple Reserve Drums have very thin hoops that allow the resonant sound of the kettle to breathe air to support it. The steel tires are strongly rounded at the upper edge, so powerful rimshots can be realized despite the low material thickness.
Thanks to the OptiMpount system made of aluminium, the toms are mounted in a free-swinging manner so that the boilers can unfold their sound freely. Moreover, thanks to the ingenious suspension, there are hardly any cross-talks to neighbouring drums.
The skins are from Remo, Toms are equipped with Clear Ambassador skins, the bass drum has a Powerstroke 3 skin. For an optimal bass drum sound a full size bass drum cushion is included.
