Analogue/digital hybrid with professional sound quality.
The Rode VideoMic NTG is a completely new hybrid solution of analogue camera and USB shotgun microphone. It can be connected to the microphone input of a video camera or smartphone via TRS/TRRS jack as well as to a PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet via USB. When used as a USB microphone, the signal is converted internally at 48kHz/24bit. The VideoMic NTG is powered by its own lithium-ion battery with a battery life of over 30 hours. In this configuration, even the high-pass filter, pad, safety channel and treble boost can be controlled digitally via USB.
The Rode VideoMic NTG also shows its strengths in traditional use as a camera microphone: With its integrated preamp, peak warning light and its neutral, transparent sound, this camera microphone/USB microphone is convincing in all professional environments - even for demanding outdoor recordings thanks to the additionally supplied windscreen, hot shoe adapter and special Rycote Lyre swing mount.
