I used to own one of this back in 2010, it was my first "real guitar", before that, I only had a squier :p and I must tell you, it was awesome, it had a raw kind of feeling and played great.
The only downside was the finish, somehow the abalone binding never did it for me, it was... cheesy. The other downside is the price, when I bought mine they cost like 700 euros or so, now they cost 900, I know the wood is getting expensive and stuff, but come on schecter, why U so expensive??
All in all its a great guitar, the pickups can be split, so you can have the best of both worlds, humbucker and single coil, it has a great feel to it and the workmanship is good.
If the abalone binding isnt an issue and you can afford to pay the extra buck go with the schecter, if not, then I would recommend you other guitar.
