The Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty Chalk Grey is the signature guitar of Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci and offers an innovative design that shines with impeccable playability and versatile sounds of the harder kind. The ergonomic body design and the free-standing D-profile neck promise unrestricted access to all positions of the fretboard, while hot humbuckers and the switchable 12dB Boost on the amplifier provide plenty of punch. The Sterling Majesty is completed by an SBMM Modern Tremolo and SBMM Locking tuners.
As the signature guitar of the Dream Theater guitarist, the Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty Chalk Grey also meets the highest demands in terms of playing comfort and sound.
The free-standing Nyatoh neck is glued to the body of the Majesty MAJ100 and offers the best playing characteristics right up to the highest registers.
Innovative design and high playing comfort
The innovative design of the Sterling Majesty was developed in close collaboration with John Petrucci and is tailored for the demands of advanced progressive metal playing. Built with a Nyatoh body, the guitar offers excellent stability when seated and maintains perfect balance on a strap, making it ideal for both stage and studio use. Generously cut double cutaways provide unrestricted access to the upper frets, fully exposing the Nyatoh neck and making high-register solos effortless. The neck’s wide D-profile and a flat 16" (406 mm) fretboard radius ensure a fast, fluid feel—letting every riff, run, and solo glide effortlessly from your fingers.

As a true John Petrucci Signature model, the Sterling by Music Man JP100 Majesty delivers the kind of crushing metal tones you'd expect, but it also shows remarkable finesse on clean settings. Outfitted with Sterling by Music Man humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, this guitar offers a balanced output with rich harmonic content—perfect for soaring leads with endless sustain and tight, articulate riffs. Even in clean mode, chords and melodies ring out with impressive note clarity and string separation, making it just as suitable for dynamic clean passages as it is for high-gain shredding. Adding to its tonal flexibility, the JP100 Majesty features a built-in 12 dBactive boost, easily engaged via the push/pull volume knob.

Modern Tremolo and Locking tuners
Sterling by Music Man also outfits the John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty with premium hardware, designed to deliver rock-solid performance and effortless playability. At the heart of it is the SBMM Modern Tremolo bridge, mounted on two pivot points for ultra-smooth operation. Thanks to its sculpted undercut, the tremolo allows for both upward and downward pitch bends with ease—ideal for expressive lead work and dynamic effects. Each of the six string saddles is fully adjustable, ensuring accurate intonation and a comfortable string action, even when using heavier gauges or lower tunings. The strings run along a 25.5" (648 mm) scale length and are anchored by SBMM locking tuners in the signature 4+2 headstock layout, which not only enhances tuning stability but also makes string changes fast and fuss-free—even with aggressive tremolo use.
