Tascam's MZ-223 is an efficient multi-channel and multi-zone mixer in a compact 2U design for fixed installations such as hotels, restaurants, meeting rooms, schools or any other situation where independent audio routing is required.
Mixing, routing and splitting of different audio signals can be done simultaneously, no matter if it is music, speech, turntables or other applications. The intuitive design and functions make the MZ223 mixer a flexible helper - even in the hands of laymen. Well-known standard faders and controls make work easier, while all functions are designed to save space.
The MZ223 mixer allows you to mix, separate and route multiple audio sources to three independent zones or destinations including volume faders and buttons. Input signals can be integrated via the 5 audio channels, each consisting of two unbalanced RCA stereo pairs. In general, a total of 10 sets with RCA inputs are available - sufficient for larger applications. Channels 1 & 2 can also be switched to operate phono level signals and thus turntables. In addition, there are two practical XLR inputs for microphones that allow voiceovers and moderation.
The user can also choose from three independent outputs, each with a combination of XLR or RCA sockets. Signals such as music to Zone 1, ambient sounds to Zone 2 and a second music track or a voice to Zone 3 can be flexibly forwarded, and when using the talkover function, the level of all mixed audio signals is reduced when speaking, so that the focus remains on the speech.
