The 4ms Ensemble Oscillator is a Digital Polyphonic Oscillator that cleverly combines Additive Synthesis, FM and Phase Modulation and Wave-Shaping. At the core of the whole are 16x Sine-based Oscillators that are tuned and detuned at intervals. 30x Programmable tone scales give the Oscillators the direction in which the individual frequencies are shifted; programming is done via control voltages. 3x modes each for Twist Phase (Phase Modulation), Warp (Wave-Shaping) and Cross FM expand the sonic possibilities. In addition, there is a special panning mode that distributes the Oscillators left and right (Out A & B) in the panorama. Another highlight are the 2x quantized and non-quantized Pitch Inputs, so you have the choice to play notes with a concrete note reference or to create the generated sounds in an experimental context.
The main features of the 4ms Ensemble Oscillator include:
Okay, this is a module with a lot of features and depth. And it sounds amazing too. 16 sinewave VCOs which can be wavefolded, modulated, detuned, phase-distorted, and arranged into chords, this module's sounds range from pure to filthy, subtle to smashing, and tranquil to crazy. You should check out the videos to hear it. I'm not disappointed at all with this module.
