Analog bass preamp with overdrive and semi-parametric 4-band tone control
The Darkglass Microtubes B7K v2 is the second reincarnation of the popular Microtubes B7K Bass-Preamp. In addition to the proven overdrive with basic and attack switches, a semi-parametric tone control with selectable center frequencies is also available. In addition, the Darkglass B7K v2 is equipped with a balanced DI output, which allows direct sampling of the signal on stage and in the recording studio.
The Darkglass Microtubes B7K v2 offers advanced sound forum capabilities, including a semi-parametric 4-band equalizer.
Powerful tone control and rich overdrive
The semi-parametric tone control of the Darkglass Microtubes B7K v2, whose mid-frequencies can be switched between 500 Hz and 1 kHz or 1.5 kHz and 3 kHz, allows the sound to be adjusted particularly precisely. In addition, the Microtubes Overdrive circuitry is available for a particularly tight Brachial Overdrive. While the Drive control determines the intensity of the distortions, the Clean signal can be added via the Blend control, so that pressure and definition are maintained in the low end. The attack switch can be used to add more brilliance to the sound or remove unpleasant sharpness. At the same time, the Grunt switch allows the bass component in the overdrive to be adjusted.
Wide range of connections for stage and studio
Last but not least, the Darkglass Microtubes B7K v2 is well equipped for use on stage and in recording studios. The balanced DI output in XLR format allows the bass signal to be easily transmitted to a mixer, interface or recording device, with the Ground Lift switch interrupting unwanted ground loops. The parallel output also allows the unprocessed input signal to be forwarded to other amplifiers or effect chains.
