With the Hydraulic Red Furs, the American manufacturer Evans already caused a lot of sensation in the eighties. In 2016 the Hydraulic Red Furs find their way back into the Evans assortment and provide fat, deep and extremely short sounds, just as they did back then, as they were not only popular in the early days of rock music, but are still in demand today. The special feature of hydraulic skins from Evans Hydraulic is a thin oil film between the two 7 mil thick layers of Mylar film. As a result, the Evans Hydraulic Red skins are extremely durable at first, but also the sound is deep, short, fat and produced with incredible attack and low bass, inspired by the golden sound of the 70s.
Evans Hydraulic skins are known to be quite easy to tune and ideal for unruly cauldrons and drummers who are just beginning to learn drums and therefore have even less experience tuning drums. With these skins every set sounds deep and powerful!
