The Fender American Special Telecaster, Vintage Blonde is a beautiful electric guitar from the American Special series, designed to provide everything guitarists usually desire in US-made Fender instruments, yet at a price that makes them affordable to the majority.
The Fender American Special Telecaster features an alder body, covered in a Vintage Blonde colour and finished with Gloss Urethane. The maple neck is cut with a Modern ‘C’-shaped neck profile and finished with a Satin Urethane. The neck is topped with a maple fingerboard, decorated with 22 Jumbo frets and dot inlays.
The American Special Telecaster is fitted with a pair of Fender’s Texas Special Single-Coil Tele pickups, designed to provide the clarity that players have come to expect from a Telecaster with the addition of a thicker and tighter bass sound. The pickups are controlled using the Volume and Tone controls and a three-way pickup selector switch, and the Greasebucket tone circuit allows the Tone control to be reduced without it adding bass to the sound.
The guitar has chrome hardware, consisting of Fender Standard Cast/Sealed tuners, a three-saddle American Vintage bridge with brass saddles and a string-through-body design. The body of the guitar has a three-ply black pickguard.
