Typical sound and simple design
The Gibson Les Paul Faded 2017 is based on the iconic Singlecut design of 1952 and does without unnecessary visual decoration in favour of the sound. Accordingly, it offers the classic mahogany body with maple top, which in combination with the glued maple neck combines the typical singing sound development of Les Paul with a brilliant range of highs. The thin finish promises a free resonance unfolding. A comfortable slim taper profile also ensures comfortable electric guitar playing.
Gibson 490 Humbucker for classic sounds
The Gibson Les Paul Studio uses a Gibson 490R humbucker on the neck and a Gibson 490T humbucker on the bridge. With their exalted output and the classic Alnico magnets, they skilfully bridge the gap between authentic vintage sound with warm singing voice and modern tone definition. The pickups also offer an airy dynamic response that supports expressive electric guitar playing in the best PAF tradition. The pickups are controlled conventionally via a 3-way toggle switch and individual volume and tone controls.
Vintage style hardware
The Gibson Les Paul Faded 2017 T also offers vintage-style hardware perfectly matched to the instrument. The body features the combination of Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, proven since the mid-1950s, which guarantees perfect adjustment of string position and intonation, while tuners with authentic Keystone grand pianos on the headstock ensure precise tuning and a classic look.
