The 7-layer maple shell promises a dynamic, warm sound with a round sustain and a wonderful attack. Recently, the Gretsch Renown Maple series has also been equipped with the proven 302' Hoop, which definitely produces more brilliance and a projection rich in overtones. Previously only used in the Brooklyn and Broadkaster series, it combines the focused tone of cast hoops with the openness and projection of steel hoops. The exact 30° bearing edge guarantees a wide and loud sound without compromises and of course easy tunability.
