Two-channel overdrive effect pedal for electric guitar
The JHS Pedals Double Barrel V4 combines two of the most popular overdrives from the Kansas City effects company in one housing. The right half of the case is taken by the JHS pedal Moonshine V2, while in the left half the Morning Glory V4 is in service. Thus, the JHS Pedals Double Barrel allows the separate use of both overdrives as well as the extremely popular stacking of different distortions for versatile sounds, whereby the internal sequence of the effects can be determined via a mini-switch.
In the right half: Moonshine V2
The right half of the JHS pedal Double Barrel houses the gearshift of the JHS pedal Moonshine V2, which convinces with an especially strong character, creamy overdrive. The sound can be adjusted as usual via the proven controls for volume, drive and tone, while the clean signal can be mixed in via the clean control. The proof switch also allows switching between two different gain structures.
In the left half: Morning Glory V4
In the left half of the JHS pedal Double Barrel V4 the circuit of the JHS pedal Morning Glory V4 is available. Accordingly, an extremely transparent drive is available here, which promises first-class sound results both individually before a clean amp and as a booster before the distortion channel. The sound can be adjusted using the volume, drive and tone controls, while the Hi Cut switch cuts the treble spectrum as needed. A boost can also be activated via the "Gain" switch.
The JHS Pedals Double Barrel V4 at a glance:
Overdrive effect pedal for electric guitar, made in the USA
Connects JHS Pedals Moonshine V2 and JHS Pedals Morning Glory V4 in one housing
Moonshine with controls for volume, drive, tone and clean as well as proof switch (gain character)
Morning Glory with controls for volume, drive and tone as well as gain switch and Hi-Cut switch
Separate foot switches for each overdrive side
Connection for optionally available foot switch to activate the gain switch
Sounds fantastic! The Morning Glory side is a terrific Bluesbreaker/low gain drive; Moonshine is Scott's tubescreamer interpretation and has greater range and versatility. The clean blend is awesome. Stacked, there's a great variety of tones available, plus remote switch if you want it - I run my DB at the front of my board for easy access. Great is use, maybe would have liked a bit more EQ control for a fully featured experience but with so much on offer in a small footprint, it's hard to fault. This, the King of Tone and the Way Huge Cameltoe top the tree for two-in-one drives and this is the one I chose for my gigging board...
