Full-tube combo for electric guitar with two channels and Celestion loudspeaker, including footswitch
With the Marshall DSL40CR, the British rock'n'roll veteran undergoes the probably most popular full-tube combo of a well-deserved fresh cell cure, which extends the proven two-channel design with useful detail solutions for use in the recording studio and rehearsal room. The EL34 power amplifier offers a power reduction, while the equalizer tuning has been revised. In addition, an emulated output with Softube speaker simulation is now available.
With "Classic Gain" and "Ultra Gain", the Marshall DSL40CR has two channels that deliver every nuance of the typical Marshall sound.
Typical Marshall sound in Clean and High Gain
The preamp circuit of the Marshall DSL40CR is based on three ECC83 tubes and offers two channels. Classic Gain" and "Ultra Gain" each offer two sound modes that cover the entire spectrum of the typical Marshall sound. From the glittering clean and juicy overdrive for blues to the biting high gain distortion for modern metal, the Marshall DSL 40 leaves no wish unfulfilled.
The Marshall DSL40CR has the unmistakable look of the British Rock'n'Roll company.
Variable equalizer and first-class reverb
Both channels of the Marshall DSL40CR share the common 3-band tone control to adjust the sound. The bass range, which was often perceived as too full, could be slimmed down without losing any pressure by means of a sensitive reworking. The "Tone Shift" function also allows you to adjust the mid-range playback so that scooped sounds for hard metal are also available. Last but not least, the Presence and Resonance controls allow the bass and treble reproduction to be tuned in the power amplifier. The integrated reverb effect can be adjusted separately for both channels and convinces with a grandiose three-dimensionality.
The compact Marshall DSL40CR is equipped with a Celestion V-Type loudspeaker.
Emulated Line Out and Line In
In addition, Marshall DSL40CR has been equipped with an Emulated Line Out, which allows the guitar signal to be picked up comfortably both in the recording studio and on stage. Silent recording is also possible with the DSL40CR. The simulation of the classic Marshall 1960 Cabinet, developed jointly with Softube's audio specialists, guarantees a particularly natural reproduction. The combined line/mp3-in also allows playback of playback or backing tracks via the guitar amplifier.
EL34 power amplifier with power reduction, Celestion Speaker
The power amplifier of the Marshall DSL40CR is equipped with the usual EL34 tubes from which 40 watts of power are drawn. Accordingly, appropriate volume levels are available for the rehearsal room or club stage. Thanks to the integrated power reduction, the Combo can also be played with 20 watts suitable for living rooms. The voltage and operating point of the tubes are modulated so that the typical sound character is retained. In addition, a twelve-inch Celestion V-Type is used as the loudspeaker, whose balanced yet powerful reproduction perfectly matches the character of the amplifier.
At the rear, the Marshall DSL40CR offers an effects path, emulated line out, line/mp3 input, and connections for footswitches and speakers.
