The Roland RT-MicS Hybrid Drum Module combines trigger, module, microphone and mixer in one compact device. Like a normal drum trigger it is attached to a snare or tom and then you can choose between 8 presets or import 8 own USB samples. The RT-MicS now triggers the drum, but has an additional microphone that records the pure acoustic sound. Two separate outputs for the electronic trigger sounds and the microphone sounds, which can also be mixed individually if required, are available to go directly from the device to a mixing console or the PA. The Roland RT-MicS can be used with battery or power supply, so it is also suitable for outdoor performances, the corresponding software for importing of your own samples is available via free download.
The Roland RT-MiCs has two separate jack outputs, one for the pure trigger sound and the other for the signal from the built-in microphone. The volume of each signal can be easily controlled by two rotary switches, so the drummer can decide which mix of the two signals he sends to the mixer or the PA. Of course, only the trigger sound or microphone sound can be sent, resulting in a number of possibilities for an expressive hybrid performance. The sensitivity of the trigger can also be adjusted. The RT-MicS can be used with either a battery or a power supply (not included).
The Roland RT-MicS turns any drum kit into a hybrid drum kit in no time at all. A trigger, a microphone and the sound module are directly installed in the receiver, so no additional software or hardware is required and every snare or tom becomes an expressive hybrid pad. Via a button on the top side ,8 high-quality samples can be selected, which are pre-installed, in addition there is the possibility to load and use 8 of your own samples with a maximum length of 10 seconds on the RT-MicS module via PC or MAC.
The software is available as free download.
