SPL presents the Director MK 2, the further development of the Director reference preamplifier, which now operates with 32 bits and sampling rates up to 768kHz and DSD4. The digital-to-analog converter allows fans of analog tape machines or external sound processing to loop into a tape monitor path, while six analog stereo inputs - two of which are balanced with XLR jacks - are available. The MK 2 version has also grown a little in height and features a large 45mm aluminum rotary knob with position LED and two mechanical VU meters, while the design still impresses with its simple, elegant style.
