The Sandberg California TM5 RW CHG Crème High-Gloss is a 5-string electric bass with a proven wooden base and powerful Delano pickups for versatile sounds with a vocal vintage note.
Proven Wooden Base for Classic Sounds:
For the construction of the Sandberg California TM5 RW Crème High-Gloss, the Brunswick Company relies on proven woods. The body is made of Alder whilst the 6x screwed neck is made of maple and carries a rosewood fretboard. Accordingly, the five-string has a fat primary sound with rich attack and even sustain, which also integrates the low B-string with precise articulation into the sound. The pleasantly shaped neck profile, on which even complex grooves can be played without undue concern, allows for hours of play without fatigue.
Powerful Versatility of Delano Pickups:
The pickups of the Sandberg California TM5 RW Crème High-Gloss come from Delano and are known for their versatile sound spectrum and recognisable vintage nuances. A wide spectrum of different sound nuances can be called up via the blend control, ranging from the rich, assertive low end thrust of the Delano M-style humbucker close to the bridge to the bold, yet transparent sound of the Delano T-style single coil. The active 2-band tone control and the split switch for the humbucker are also available for further sound adjustment, allowing authentic single coil sounds to be called up.
Sandberg Hardware:
High-quality hardware from our own company completes the equipment of the Sandberg California TM5 Crème High-Gloss. The strings on the bridge are held by the Sandberg Bridge 5, whose massive construction contributes significantly to the even sound of the five-string. The three-dimensional adjustability also guarantees perfect adjustment of intonation and string position. At the headstock, the strings are led via zero fret and saddle to the indestructible Sandberg Machine Heads, which guarantee a reliable tuning of the bass guitar.
