With the TC Electronic Hall or Fame 2 X4 Reverb, the Danish effects manufacturer is launching a revised version of the popular reverb effect pedal for electric guitar. Ten effect algorithms offer a broad sound spectrum, ranging from natural reverbs of different room sizes to classic bounce and plate reverb effects and even a trendy shimmer reverb with octave shaping of the reverb tail. There are also six memory locations for storing tone prints, while the pre-delay and decay controls influence the time until the reverb tail starts as well as its decay behavior. The innovative MASH footswitches with pressure sensor allow real-time control of effect parameters. Last but not least, the TC Electronic Hall or Fame 2 X4 Reverb can be controlled via MIDI and is equipped with a connection for optionally available expression pedals.
This is not only an excellent reverb unit... It is actually 4 excellent reverb units (in fact it is hundreds of excellent reverbs, of which you select 4 of your favourite without bending down). Simple to use, stereo, tons of tweakable presets, TC's build quality and if course Toneprint. Yikes this is a great piece of kit!
An amazing price for such a versatile and powerful reverb pedal. Love the ease of saving patches and the stereo feature, and the MASH ideas is potentially awesome for using live (whenever that is possible again!) I look forward to using the tweaking ability given by the TonePrint app to tame some of the slightly stranger reverb effects (sometimes the shimmer seems a bit sour for acoustic guitars in my opinion). Overall, I just love the versatility and value of this pedal and look forward to purchasing more TC effects!
