The SS-R100 is down to basics with unbalanced and coaxial digital I/O only. This recorder supports the RC-20 direct play remote for up to 20 tracks of flash start.

Easy to use. Have ripped lots of CD`s via computer to usb to play on the recorder. Sounds accurate to me. The maximum number of tracks that the unit can handle is about 1050 per media (depending on bit rate). All editing of track information is easier to do on your computer which is compatible with the Tascam. Remote control supplied is good, but would have been better if it was wireless. No real issues to complain about. I bought this to replace my CD/hard disc recorder when the optical drive started to fail, as the Tascam has no optical drive only a SSD it should be far more reliable. Highly recommended.
