16-channel MADI effects processor
The UAD-2 Live Universal Audio Rack is a 16-channel MADI effects processor that allows you to mix live sound with UAD plug-ins. Connect the rack to any MADI-enabled digital console and use industry-standard plug-ins such as Antares Auto- Tune Realtime - or any UAD Powered plug-ins in your UAD account - without latency. Plug-in configurations such as snapshots can also be saved for fast recall, while up to 4 UAD-2 Live Rack Core Units can be combined for a maximum of 64 channels. The sophisticated, extremely efficient technology and a high level of audio quality take every live show to the next level.
Simple MADI connectivity
Compared to a rack-mount case equipped with processors, the UAD-2 Live Rack couldn't be easier to integrate into your digital mix system. Connect it to the MADI-I / O port of your digital console and connect your laptop via Thunderbolt 3 to control the Live Rack application. You can send individual tracks, submixes and even the entire mix via UAD Powered plug-ins without any noticeable latency. The Live Rack app offers functions for retrieving MIDI snapshots as well as network software integration with selected Soundcraft Vi consoles.
Fail-safe features for professional reliability
You can rely on the UAD-2 Live Rack for high-stakes events. Redundant internal power supplies ensure that audio data is continuously processed even in the event of a power failure (provided, of course, that it is connected to different power circuits). If your laptop fails or the Thunderbolt cable is disconnected, the UAD-2 Live Rack will continue to process audio with the last known plug-in states. You can even prevent unwanted setting changes during a live show by activating the Live Rack App's safe mode.
