Xaoc Devices Zadar
Quadruple envelope generator in Euro Rack format
Xoac Devices Zadar is a quadruple envelope generator in Euro rack format with four independent channels and over 200 unique envelopes. The envelopes can be modified very strongly, resulting in an infinite number of possible shapes. Zadar's control is fast and intuitive thanks to the four endless controls. Only for the deeper functions is it necessary to work with submenus. A clear OLED display provides visual feedback in real time and settings can be saved in preset slots.
Zadar offers a wide range of different envelopes. Both simple envelopes and complex transients can be used in a wide variety of situations. The memory also contains looped modulations, rhythmic patterns, natural envelopes of various acoustic and electronic instruments, and much more. Zadar can thus be used flexibly as a generator for envelopes, step sequences and as an LFO.
The envelopes can be freely adjusted from one of over 200 presets. They can be warped, reversed and stretched in time and volume. Envelopes can be repeated, looped and concatenated. In addition, each channel has a freely assignable CV input, so most of the above transformations can also be controlled externally.

This is a fantastic module for eurorack modular synths. It might seem a bit pricey for a quad envelope/LFO but when you get to play with it and realise that the envelopes have all these amazing slopes, gaps, pulses, patterns etc - it does stuff that you normally need at least three modules for - and there are four channels. Its brilliant!
I bought this as a replacement for a standard ADSR module in my small case, as for the size it can do 4 envelopes, or four LFOs, or a mixture of any of those things in a similar hp as before (a dual doepfer ADSR). Really handy device. Particularly like the menu system and simple setting of output range per channel (no attenuators needed).
