In addition, the HDMI splitter can be used to increase the number of available HDMI inputs on the TV or AV receiver without having to replace one of the devices right away. Instead of having to keep replacing Blu-ray players, game consoles, or other external media and reconnecting cables before using them, the splitter does the job and forwards the signal as needed.
