With the DM1, sE Electronics offers an active inline preamplifier for passive microphones that require extremely high preamplification. The DM 1 Dynamite is ideal for this and can easily be placed between the microphone and mic preamp to get extra transparent and clean 28dB GAIN - without any noise or discoloration. The output impedance is also the lowest in its class. Long cable lengths can thus be easily mastered while reducing susceptibility to interference, humming and humming. (Of course, the shorter the cable, the better). And of course the unique dynamite design must not go unmentioned. This "explosive pole" makes something in every studio!

After looking at the Shure sm7b, I was convinced I would need some kind of preamp to boost my quiet voice, so as not to push my apogee duet too hard. I decided on the Se dm1 after quite a bit of research, although with it being a new product there wasn’t much in the way of reviews etc, but I trust the brand, so why not? The great thing is the plug n’ play simplicity of the dm1, which adds 28 dB without colouring the sound, which was my main concern when deciding on an in-line preamp. So all in all, although it’s early days, I’ve used it quite a lot and can’t fault it.
I’ve used DM1 for my Shure SM7B + Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 and the effect is literally exploding. I get a lot of very clean gain and very high amplification. If you have got this mic, the DM1 is what you need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cheers
