The 2Box TrigIt Drum Trigger Set consists of 1x Kick Trigger (mono) and 4x Snare/Tom Trigger (stereo). 2Box Triggers are compatible with all common e-drum modules. They are therefore perfectly suited to convert your acoustic set into a hybrid drum kit. For snare and toms, dual-zone triggers are used, which evaluate both head and rim signals. For the bass drum a suitable single-zone trigger is included.
The 2Box TrigIt Set also comes with a tuning key. Equipped with newly revised piezo triggers, the 2Box TrigIt Set offers improved sampling behavior and good separation of head and rim. To prevent the connected cables from loosening by themselves, the jack sockets are located on the side. Thanks to the plastic elements mounted inside the housing, scratch marks and pressure marks on the hoops are avoided. The sturdy metal housings are satinized, which gives them a simple and modern appearance. In addition, due to their increased stability, they also withstand continuous live operation.
2Box TrigIt Drum Trigger SetI bought these to use live on my a-ekit if a internal trigger failed.
At first my mesh head sat to high not leaving enough rim to clip these on (Z-ed mesh heads). After switching to other mesh heads it got rid of the problem.
However when they are attached the foam is pushed down and I worry how many times it will take this before the wires attached to the piezo will break.
Once on the drum they trigger very well. I only had to bring the sensitivity up a bit compared to my internal triggers. This is using a old Alesis dm10 module on single ply mesh heads.
Overall the build quality is good and they stay firm on the rim without a massive amount of tightening.
The price is also good for these compared to some other external triggers.
