After Later Audio FFS

The FSS aka FOR FUZZ SAKE from After Later Audio is based on the infamous Fuzz Face circuit from 1966 and includes a built-in pickup simulator. The two sections GNARLY and OOMPH differ from each other in terms of sound and function. GNARLY is simply of the vicious variety and has destructive traits. The seven controls are largely dependent on each other because the sound/result depends enormously on the sweet spots along the boundaries between "should there be something?" and "comes so slowly" The transistor pairs in this section are interchangeable, by the way, which gives you a completely different sound and control behaviour. OOMPH is the far more bass-friendly version and complements the upper overtones of the Gnarly section; this section also behaves more like a typical fuzz effect. Part of the fuzz circuit is a pickup simulator that produces a unique sound when paired with the inductance of the pickup coils in a guitar. Therefore, a coil is built into the FSS that simulates the Eurorack signal emitted by a guitar pickup. In addition to the individual outputs of the two distortion units and the mix output, the module also has a pickup output. The latter does not output a Eurorack level and should only be used in combination with other guitar pedals. Feeding in an electric guitar instead of a synth or drum patch is a good idea!
