Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer at a glance
The Behringer DDM4000 is a modern 5-channel digital mixer featuring 32-bit technology and a wide range of functionalities. Key highlights include a beat-synchronised sampler, four multi-FX sections, two BPM counters, a Digital Ultracurve Crossfader, and MIDI control for software. Despite its extensive features, the DDM4000 stands out with its intuitive layout. The mixer offers four stereo channels with Phono/Line switches, making it suitable for turntables or media players. Each channel is equipped with a 3-band digital EQ, providing up to 12 dB boost and full kill functionality. Channels can be directly monitored via headphones using the PFL switch. A dedicated microphone channel includes a talkover function (ducking) to ensure announcements are clearly audible. This channel also features its own FX section, which can be activated with a single button. The heart of the mixer is the Digital Ultracurve Crossfader, enabling BPM-synchronised transitions. It features reverse and hold buttons, adjustable curve sensitivity, and is easy to replace if needed. The BPM-synchronised sampler allows for seamless looping of recorded audio segments, perfect for smooth transitions. Additionally, the DDM4000 offers two FX sections with effects such as echo, reverb, delay, and pitch shift, which can be synchronised to BPM and applied independently to any channel. The DDM4000 is ideal for experienced DJs seeking versatility and seamless performance.
Digital crossfader
The core functionality of the DDM4000 is found in its Digital Ultracurve Crossfader, which is equipped with Reverse Tap and Hold buttons and automatic BPM-synchronised crossfading. This first-class with flexible curve adjustment is responsive and can be assigned to any of channels 1 to 4. Apart from this, there are kill buttons to the left and right of the interchangeable 3-band EQ.
BPM-synchronised effects
The digital DJ mixer has a dual FX section with BPM counter that allows you to analyse the BPM of 2 different inputs and display BPM-synchronised effects such as echo on the beat of the music. Effects such as Bitcrusher, Reverb, Delay, Pitch Shift and more are available and can be assigned to multiple channels independently.
I am very happy with my choice because it is a great mixer for both beginners and those more advanced. Has a lot of effects that can change as you wish both the microphone and the sound. the best existing mixer on the market at this price.
Solid, many features, and god quality, i own it for 2 years now and no complain except the mic gain is a bit too loud, for th emoney i paid i couldnt have bought a better mixer.one con is the position of the headphones jack which isnt the best, i wish it was at another position
Wow! Just... Wow! Whether you're a scratch mixer wanting to level up or a club DJ wanting more options to flex your skills, this baby has you covered. I'm a Reggae/Dub sound system and, whilst at first attracted to the kill switch options for my low end, have found myself experimenting with the sampler and FX with great results. This has so many bells and whistles for the price and adaptable to most needs. Highly recommended!
I upgraded to this mixer from a 3 channel Gemini over 5 years ago and I still have fun with this mixer today. the user customization is second to none. Highly Recommend!!
