The Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb Amplifier delivers the authentic sound of a subtly modified Fender Combo from the early sixties without sacrificing sonic and dynamic qualities. Responsible for this are a DSP with massive computing power, which recreates the complex interactions of the original tube circuitry in detail, and an optimally tuned 200 watt Class D power amplifier, which is indistinguishable from the 85 watt 6L6 original in terms of headroom and dynamics. The Tone Master Twin Reverb Combo's outstanding sound and pleasingly light weight are furthermore enhanced by the resonant solid pine cabinet and two 12" Celestion Neo Creamback speakers. Whereas the Normal channel provides the typical Fender Cleans, the Vibrato channel, by dispensing with the virtual Bright cap, promises smooth sound development for trouble-free cooperation with overdrive and distortion pedals. To meet the demands of modern stage and studio applications, the Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb Blonde also features five-stage power reduction and a balanced XLR line output with high quality speaker simulation using Impulse Responses.
I had a Fender Twin for several years and my goodness it was HEAVY! Not only that but it put out some serious heat even at low volumes, and at those low volume sit really wasn't producing its best tones, so all-in-all an original Twin is only good for very large areas. Whilst it's still a big amp to contain two 12" speakers, the Tone Master Twin is significantly lighter in weight, doesn't heat up your room in the summer, and has an attenuator control that allows you to access its creamy higher gain breakup tones at sensible practice volumes, plus the clean tones are wondeful and the reverb and vibrato are good too. Recommended for everyone who wants a high quality tone without all the trouble and strife!
I was amazed how dynamic it was. There are some minor differences between the Tonemaster and the tube version, but i think it they are unintelligible in a live environment. I love that you can remove the harsh high frequencies. Awesome gigging amp. Also the IRs are great for clean sounds.
