The Klavis Grainity is a unique mixture ofanalog multimode filter and granular synthesis. The multimode filter offers among others the filter modes Lowpass 12/24dB, Highpass, Bandpass and Notch, the granular section allows structure selection based on a predefined list, setting a divider and adjusting Phase and Offset of a cycle. At this point it should be mentioned that both filters work analogously and share Cutoff and resonance. Only the granular section is controlled digitally and applies phase and amplitude corrections to the audio signal. There are individual outputs for the filters and a mix output. The latter links the filters using a voltage-controlled crossfader. With the Grainity it is pure joy to work with formants, subharmonics and classic filter sounds.
