So each of the shakers will be different volume and provides a fine gradation and perfect control over the volume of the shakers. Of course, the different shakers can also be played together, so you can mix the levels as needed.

The four egg shakers in this set range from the soft sound I was looking for to a much harsher, louder sound (with several levels in between). They're cheap and cheerful enough, and do the job pretty well as far as I'm concerned.
