The Pioneer DJ RMX-1000 is an innovative 3-in-1 system that combines editing software, performance hardware, and VST/AU/RTAS plug-ins. It merges the capabilities of studio effects and beatboxes with the intuitive control of professional DJ hardware. Features from top mixers, such as the Isolator FX from the DJM-2000, the X-Pad from the DJM-900NXS, and the Multi-FX Chaining from the EFX-1000, have been further developed and integrated into a single unit. The device offers extensive parameter adjustment options and can be fully customised using the remixbox™ software. Users can load and edit their own sample banks. As a controller for VST/AU/RTAS plug-ins, the RMX-1000 enables direct control via Mac or PC, adding fresh inspiration to studio productions. The Scene FX provide ten combinable effects for building up and breaking down tracks, including Noise, Echo, Spiral Up, Crush Echo, Spiral Down, and Reverb Down. The Isolator FX allow precise manipulation of tonal balance by separately adjusting highs, mids, and lows. Additionally, three built-in effects – Cut/Add, Trans/Roll, and Gate/Drive – offer creative flexibility. The X-Pad with Pitch Control allows DJs to play and manipulate integrated drum samples such as Kick, Snare, Clap, and Hi-Hat. The Pitch knob alters the tone of repeated beats, enabling unique performances. The Release FX simplify clean transitions out of complex effect combinations, offering Back Spin, Echo, or Vinyl Brake for seamless exits. With full MIDI compatibility, control commands can be sent via USB to external devices. This makes the Pioneer DJ RMX-1000 a highly versatile tool for DJs, unlocking new creative possibilities both live and in the studio.
With Scene FX, tracks can be dynamically built up or broken down. Ten effects are available: the upper section features build-up effects such as Noise, Echo, and Spiral Up, while the lower section offers Crush Echo, Spiral Down, and Reverb Down for smooth transitions or dramatic cuts. Thanks to intuitive controls, multiple effects can be combined to create diverse soundscapes, making every performance unique and immersive.
Isolator FX provides precise control over the tonal balance of the main audio input. Highs, mids, and lows can be adjusted separately, allowing for targeted frequency manipulation. Each knob also includes three built-in effects: Cut/Add for frequency adjustments, Trans/Roll for rhythmic variations, and Gate/Drive for powerful, distorted sounds. These features offer maximum creative flexibility, opening up new possibilities for unique mixes.
The X-Pad allows for intuitive control of integrated drum samples, including Kick, Snare, Clap, and Hi-Hat. Sounds can be triggered with a simple tap or repeated at variable speeds. The dedicated Pitch knob lets users alter the pitch of repeated beats, creating dynamic effects. This function adds depth to performances and enables creative transitions and unique rhythmic variations.
Release FX makes it easy to exit complex effect combinations smoothly, returning seamlessly to the original track. Three options are available: Backspin for an abrupt rewind, Echo for a fading tail effect, and Vinyl Brake, which gradually slows the track down like a turntable. These effects allow for professional mix transitions and give DJs a simple yet effective way to break down intricate sound sequences.
The remixbox™ software allows full customisation of the RMX-1000. All parameters can be precisely adjusted to tailor the hardware to individual styles. Its interactive interface enables effects to be controlled via mouse movements, parameters to be modified, and functions to be assigned. Settings can be saved to an SD card and accessed on the go, ensuring the RMX-1000 seamlessly adapts to any DJ performance.

The sampling section needs practice and should be much better covered in the manual I hate the mini knob for the volume on the bottom left.
The effects are mostly echo-based. In that respect theyre nice. But no flanger, no much filtering, and instead too many noise-related effects (pretty much useless for me). I wish I could choose other effects via software, but this is not the case.
Another fantastic product from pioneer thats hard not to get the creativity flowing from the moment its switched on .Very well built and great design the Rmx creates results that are endless with the option to customize to your own needs ...
Put the Rmx together with the Djm2000 that has all the good bits from the Efx1000 ,Djm800 and its one hell of a creative suite .... Not forgetting the unreal vst for use with ableton / logic ... Very well done pioneer
very cool item we have here from pioneer with an allround good feel, solid build quality as expected from the leaders of dj technology. It has a plethora of amazing quantized echo effects various ways of parameter control and customizability via pc. The capability of using with vst inclusion is cool and very handy for brigeing dj performance with the studio work. If you have the cash go for it.
