The keymaXX CP-1 is a beautiful youth-style digital piano with a weighted, velocity-sensitive 88-key hammer action keyboard and a powerful 2x 10 watt stereo speaker system. The highly playable instrument is aimed at beginners and advanced players alike, offering a wide selection of over 230 sounds suitable for most genres. The high polyphony of 189 voices is high enough to ensure that no fading note is swallowed during faster, four-hand play. In addition, 200 demo songs are implemented to which you can play the accompaniment or the main part yourself. The linear recording function proves to be very helpful when practicing new pieces. With it you can not only inspect yourself but also replace the third and fourth hand on the instrument when you play alone. The Dual Mode for the keyboard divides the keyboard into two sections, so that two different sounds can be played simultaneously across the keyboard. A metronome can be switched on at any time for rhythmic orientation.
Another highlight of the CP-1 is the integrated USB-MP3 player! On a (separately available) USB stick you can save a few favorite songs to which you want to practice and play while the song is playing. Since the MP3 player also works independently, the digital piano is also a stereo speaker for playing MP3 songs. The operation is easy and mostly self-explanatory.
Externally, the CP-1 is based on the structure and appearance of mechanical pianos. The slim construction discreetly blends the instrument into the living room without making it look clunky. The motif printed on the left side panel should appeal more to children and teenagers in particular, and extends across the left part of the case to above the music stand. The music stand itself has a fixed angle and is wide enough to hold several sheets of music at once in the player's field of vision. A bar mounted in front of it prevents the sheet music or a tablet from slipping into the keyboard area. The CP-1 also performs well as a piano for school bands, in the theater group and in the rehearsal room of a band.
Permanently integrated in the stand of the CP-1 are the three pedals for sustain, soft and sostenuto. Thanks to these smooth-running pedals, accentuated playing is possible and additionally more expressive possibilities are given.
The stereo output of the CP-1 allows connection to a mixer or amplifier. The audio input can be used to connect a CD player or
