The Austrian Audio CC8 is a modern, technically flawlessly designed condenser microphone with Austrian Audio's handmade OCC7 small diaphragm capsule. Due to its excellent values, it is particularly suitable for studio applications with high demands on signal and frequency fidelity. It also impresses with a low equivalent noise level and an extraordinary level stability thanks to a -20dB pad of up to 146dB. As a result, the CC8 can be used equally uncritically for direct miking of brass instruments as well as for ambience recordings with very low sound pressure levels. Its accurate transient imaging also qualifies it for use with all types of natural instruments such as pianos, grand pianos, violins, and even more exotic instruments whose tonal characteristics are difficult to reproduce.
Finally, the meticulous hand-manufacturing and rigorous final inspection make it possible to use in stereo or atmos setups without having to purchase specially matched microphones. Especially for complex main microphones like the Decca Triangle, 4.0 or AB+XY this makes the CC8 even more interesting.
There is really nothing to add to the frequency diagram.
