The very compactly built Casio PX-S7000 is an elegant stage piano in a stylish case that makes a good impression in the living room and on stage alike. The weighted 88-key Smart Hybrid Hammer Action keyboard has a sophisticated hammer action, is velocity sensitive and provides a good playing feel. The surface of the hybrid keyboard, which consists of a mixture of wood and resin, also contributes to this. The PX-S7000 also offers a lot for the eye: most of the controls are only visible when switched on and react precisely to finger movements. The razor-sharp Display provides detailed information about all settings and functions. The scope of delivery includes a colour-coordinated piano stand with an integrated triple pedal, a high-quality glass music holder and a practical felt keyboard cover.
Many sounds with details
In order to achieve the most authentic sound possible of the mechanical models, details such as key-off samples and pedal noises as well as the simulation of string and damper resonances can be adjusted in several stages and are also audible when played appropriately. Thanks to 256 voiced polyphony, speedy playing is guaranteed even with two people at the instrument without swallowing a note. The 400 included sounds, including nine excellent grand piano sounds, offer a good cut of classical, pop, jazz and electronic and are versatile. Likewise, below the sounds are 80 different piano variations, eight Drum sets, 128 general MIDI sounds and 175 other sounds. A selection of effects consisting of reverb (8 types) and room simulation (8 types) as well as three surround variants further enhance the 400 sounds if desired.
Equipped for every situation
The linear MIDI recording function, which is limited to five songs with two tracks, proves to be very helpful when practicing new pieces. This allows you to not only inspect yourself but also replace the third and fourth hand on the instrument when playing music alone. Dual & Split mode for the keyboard divide the keyboard into two areas, so that either two different sounds are spread over the keyboard at the same time playable or that two different sounds sound at the same time. For rhythmic orientation, a metronome with 20 selectable rhythm patterns can be switched on at any time. An arpeggiator with 50 variations can also be found among the playing aids, which allows for a rhythmic bass accompaniment to the left hand while playing a melody with the right. If you want to accompany your playing with vocals you can connect a microphone to the PX-S7000; for this there is a separate effect processor with 50 programs! The integrated speakers of the PX-S7000 work with Spatial Sound System technology, this provides a detailed and very realistic sound reproduction, a pleasure for players and listeners alike. The included Bluetooth dongle WU-BT10 allows the exchange of MIDI and audio data via the wireless interface. So you can stream both directly to a computer with music software (DAW) for recording, use the stage piano as a wireless master keyboard or send the played sounds eg. to a hi-fi system.
More functions with app
The free Music Space app opens up an even wider range of functions and, above all, even more ease of use to all smartphone and tablet owners with iOS or Android operating systems. The Piano Roll is a visual learning function with access to the integrated song library, which graphically teaches keyboard playing in customizable learning levels without notes. A rating system provides feedback on learning success. The Score Viewer also has access to a large selection of pieces to be played; these are displayed classically as a sheet of music. In addition, an existing triple pedal can be included, with which the note pages can be turned while playing. The Music Player is much more than just playback software for music stored on the smart device. Whether you want to play along with your own songs or your favourite songs from the charts, you can vary the tempo, adjust the pitch and even remove parts of the music to play them yourself. The result depends very much on the song used; music stored in the cloud or protected with DRM is not supported. The Live Concert Simulator gives the player a virtual experience of the spatial acoustics of different venues. This ranges from the small piano lounge to the large concert hall, even special locations such as the beach, river banks and rain are available for selection. Last but not least, the Piano Remote Controller gives you access to detailed setting options that relate to keyboard behaviour, the metronome function or general system settings, among other things.
