Reissue of the Danelectro '59 Double Cut electric guitar
The Danelectro '59 Double Cut gained world fame when Jimmy Page recorded Kashmir on it in the DADGAD Tuning. But even before that, the '59 DC with the characteristic lipstick pickups (they actually used lipstick tubes for the originals!) was the first choice, because the 'Dano's' were the only affordable instruments for most guitarists in the USA at that time. Reason enough for Danelectro to give the '59 Double Cut a current reincarnation as a 'Modified' model. The Danelectro '59 DC Modified NOS Black uses the classic Masonite body and features a badass bridge that provides tonal stability and allows for clean intonation.

Reissue of the Danelectro '59 Double Cut Electric Guitar
This guitar was for my son, to replace one he had years ago that got broken. We are both delighted with it, the quality is excellent, it sounds as good as ever. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful guitar.

The guitar plays like a dream. Straight out of the box. There was no need to set it up, because it was checked in the Music Store. I just tuned it and cannot stop playing since.
The only downside is visual. The tape that wraps around the body of the guitar has unglued where the neck joins the body, at the curved part. I does not affect the playability thou.
All in all this is a great sounding, easy playable and most important fun to play guitar. I am as happy as a child.

This guitar is an excellent instrument for all levels of guitarist but perhaps best for intermediates and above. Excellent twangy 12 string sound and well set up straight from the box ensuring ease of playing even up the neck. Stays in tune well. Edge tape may need re-glueing at some stage according to some reviews but all in all a great instrument at a very reasonable price. A major challenge to a much more expensive Rickenbacker at a fraction of the cost! If you want a great electric 12 string look no farther than the Danelectro!
