Semi-Hollow electric guitar with PRO Mini Humbucker pickups and Frequensator Tailpiece
With the Epiphone Riviera Sparkling Burgundy, the traditional semi-hollow electric guitar of the early sixties, which shaped the sound of blues and rock in the hands of Robben Ford, Lou Reed or Nick Valensi, enters the line-up of the Epiphone Original Collection. With laminated maple for top, back and sides and the stabilising maple centre block, the body of the Epiphone Riviera offers all the ingredients for an airy, resonant sound that is not prone to feedback even at high volumes, whilst the glued mahogany neck in the "Rounded C" profile knows how to please with its comfortable playability. With two Epiphone PRO Mini humbuckers on neck and bridge, the Epiphone Riviera delivers lively clean and overdrive sounds on the guitar amplifier, which will make themselves heard in any blues or rock band thanks to the brilliant treble spectrum. Last but not least, the historically correct Epiphone Frequensator Tailpiece, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners complete the Epiphone Riviera Sparkling Burgundy Semi-Hollow electric guitar.
The Epiphone Riviera Sparkling Burgundy is a classic semi-hollow electric guitar in Sixties style with mini humbuckers and Frequensator tailpiece.

Great looking reissue of an old classic. Very like Candy Apple Red (CAR) in the rich shine. Sounds tight and defined. Well setup out of the box. Fabulous work from the DV Team, as always.
First off, this is a stunning looking guitar. The burgundy finish is beautiful. But the quality of the finish leaves much to be desired. Lots of blemishes on the fingerboard and sloppy finishing on the F hole. Arrived poorly setup with lots of fret buzz. And the mini humbuckers are very low output… really need to replace them for anything other than clean playing. Bit disappointing.
