The Ibanez AEG70-PIH Purple Iris Burst at a glance
With the Ibanez AEG70-PIH Purple Iris Burst, the manufacturer Ibanez expands its rich assortment with a compact AEG-style acoustic guitar with cutaway and pickup system, which also amplifies its warm sound.
Construction
A fully laminated construction consisting of a maple top and a sapele body produces a powerful tone that is clear and direct in both the mid and treble frequencies. Thanks to a flat Nyatoh neck with a walnut fingerboard, the acoustic guitar can be comfortably gripped in all frets, which in combination with a generous Cutaway are particularly easy to reach in the high registers. The coarse-grained fretboard measures 43 mm at the nut, so there is enough room to grip even complicated fingerings easily and cleanly.
Pickups and hardware
Equipped with an in-house Ibanez AEQ TTS pickup system, the Ibanez AEG70-PIH Purple Iris Burst is ideally suited for use on stage or in the rehearsal room and allows individual adjustment of the amplified sound via a 3-band equalizer. Supported by an integrated tuner, chrome-plated die-cast tuning machines allow precise tuning strings that intonate cleanly over the entire scale length of 634 mm with the help of a compensated saddle. The instrument is rounded off by a Purple Iris Burst High Gloss finish, which gives the acoustic guitar a noble appearance.
