Uncompromising metal guitar with seven strings
With the Jackson Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7 Desert Camo, Jackson sends an unmistakably modern metal-oriented, seven-string interpretation of the legendary Randy Rhoads model into the race. Based on an elaborate neck-through construction, the 7-string guitar offers excellent playing characteristics thanks to its "Speed Neck" profile and compound fingerboard radius, while the extended 26.5" scale length (673 mm) guarantees a clean representation of each string. For the adequate sound furthermore two Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers provide juicy distortion to the guitar amp. Last but not least, Jackson completes the Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7 Desert Camo with a Floyd Rose original Tremolo and tuning stable Gotoh tuners.
The Jackson Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7 Desert Camo is an uncompromising 7-string guitar with extra-long scale, martial finish and powerful Seymour Duncan pickups.
The full-length, graphite-reinforced "Speed Neck" made of maple can be easily played up to the highest registers.
Neck-through guitar with extended scale length.
In designing the Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7, Jackson not only emphasizes an aggressive look, but also top-notch playing and sound characteristics. At the heart of the guitar is the full-length, three-piece maple neck with graphite reinforcement and long 26.5" scale (673 mm), which promises a crisp and precise representation of every note thanks to the increased string tension. The flat "speed neck" neck profile and compound fingerboard radius that increases from 12" to 16" also create the basis for agile playability of all 24 frets of the ebony fingerboard. In addition, alder body wings complete the 7-string Rhoads from the Jackson Concept Series.
While Seymour Duncan distortion humbuckers deliver juicy metal tones with tight articulation, the Floyd Rose original tremolo helps to implement advanced lead techniques.
Seymour Duncan Distortion Humbucker
The electrical tone conversion of the Rhoads RR24-7 is handled by the proven Seymour Duncan Distortion Set. With two powerful ceramic humbuckers in neck and bridge position, the electric guitar elicits massive metal sounds from the amplifier, which even at low tunings and maximum distortion bring every note sharply outlined to the ear. The pickups are controlled via a traditional passive 3-way circuit with toggle switch for pickup selection and controls for volume and tone.
Gotoh tuners with Jackson branding provide accurate tuning of the Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7.
Floyd Rose tremolo
Last but not least, Jackson completes the Concept Series Rhoads RR24-7 Desert Camo 7-string guitar with high-quality hardware that more than meets professional demands for stage and recording studio. The Floyd Rose Original tremolo serving as the bridge not only convinces with its buttery smooth handling, but also keeps the guitar securely in tune even after the heaviest dive bombs and squeals. On the "Reversed" headstock, which is painted to match the rest of the electric guitar, Gotoh tuners also promise particularly precise tuning processes.
