The
MOTU 828es
is a Thunderbolt and USB audio interface with 28 inputs and 32 outputs. It combines the award-winning functionality and quality of its predecessor 828x with MOTU AVB technology. New features are the high-resolution dual colour display, the built-in talkback microphone and button directly on the front panel and the fast switching function for comparing two pairs of speakers. Hidden under the robust housing is the renowned ESS Sabre32 DAC chipset and the best converters an 828 ever had.
The 828es can be connected to a Mac or PC via Thunderbolt, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or AVB, or via an adapter to iOS devices such as an iPad, and is equally suited for studio or stage use. As an interface or standalone mixer, the MOTU 828es offers 28 separate inputs and 32 separate outputs, including two XLR / TRS "combo" microphone inputs, dedicated main outputs with XLR connectors and two independent headphone outputs on the front panel.
In addition, of course, there are all the typical MOTU-AVB functions, such as the integrated 32-bit floating point DSP for mixing and effects, control via the mobile web app and the flexible matrix for splitting and routing.
