The MRT Breath Controller Set is a complete Breath Controller set, that includes a headset, a MIDI converter box, a 1.8m MIDI cable, a USB cable and a USB adapter. The MRT MIDI Breath Controller is the new solution for those who have always wanted to work with an easy to use Breath Controller. The MRT MIDI Breath Controller has its own MIDI Converter, so you can program the MIDI box without a computer.
It can be CC1, CC2, CC7 and after-touch MIDI signals to send. Itis about 3 MIDI channels controlled simultaneously and has an extremely fast response. The MRT MIDI breath controller has the same headset as the YAMAHA BC3A. It is assembled from individual parts which can easily be taken apart and cleaned.

After having courier delays and difficulty getting hold of DV247, I finally got the product a week late. I had made the assumtion that this would work with USB midi but the USB is for power only and the midi works via a 5 pin connector. Meant that I had to by an adaptor and USB to midi dongle. But it did work after that.
I bought the breath controller to work with Audio Modelling SWAM saxes and, although not their recommended model (much more expensive) it does the job. I think I will end up making my own module but having this one is probably worthwhile for evaluating what features I want to build in (better mouthpiece - USB midi - better place for the spit to come out!)
