Polyend Tracker Sound Design & Beatmaking
The Polyend Tracker is a multitrack MIDI sequencer with internal sound generation, sampling function and the modernized way of working of a tracker sequencer. Its history goes back to the music trackers of computers and systems like Amiga 500, Atari ST, MS-DOS, or C64. The Tracker lives up to its name and confidently places itself at the top of its ancestors with lush features.
The Sequencer
The device, which is compatible with the classic Tracker MOD files, impresses with several dedicated controls and an extra-large color display. Cryptic parameters of the past are now displayed in plain text, which significantly improves the workflow. The notes and parameters generated on eight tracks can be applied to external MIDI instruments and, of course, the internal sound generation. 256 patterns can be stored per project. Access is rounded off with a random function and other exciting live functions.
The sound generation
The Polyend Tracker goes far beyond the sequencer features and combines granular and wavetable synthesis, sampling with up to 2 minutes recording time in CD quality and offline editor and a built-in FM radio(!). By means of multimode filter, ADSR envelope per instrument and dual effect block with delay, flanger, compressor, bitcrusher etc. you are optimally equipped to be able to work creatively with this groovebox.
Since the release of the Polyend Tracker, an active user scene has developed around the instrument. The manufacturer presents new material, demo projects, tutorials and news almost daily HERE.
