The Roland CUBE 20 XL pairs up the Roland and Boss heritage of superb guitar voicings with a three-channel, 20 Watt, 8” amp. Switch between clean, lead and solo channels, and break out rock, metal and octave tones thanks to easily-accessed patches. Add in effects that include a superb, vintage-sounding spring reverb and even acoustic emulation, and you’ve got tonal intensity and variety that you’ll be proud to wield on stage, on record and at home for your own enjoyment. To use it as a trainer, there’s phrase looping too, so you can jam along and nail every lick and solo using the tones you love best.

Rocking out with tones like Metal Zone could of course be difficult if you need to play at a quiet level, so while you could of course make use of the included headphone out, you’re just as likely to get the best out of the Power Squeezer, which allows you to achieve those raucous lead tones without having to turn the volume right up.
