Sterling by Music Man JV60: Swamp Ash and Roasted Maple

The construction of the Sterling by Music Man JV60 James Valentine uses a body of Mississipi Swamp Ash and a neck of Roasted Maple, which are connected to each other by five screws. Here the maple wood is treated in a vacuum furnace, whereby it loses a large part of its residual moisture and gains significantly increased stability. With its comfortable profile, the neck also provides the perfect basis for classical and modern playing techniques when playing the electric guitar.

Versatile pickup combination with active boost

The pickups of the SBMM James Valentine consist of a Sterling by Music Man single coil in a wide humbucker housing on the bridge and a Sterling by Music Man humbucker on the neck. This classic combination delivers a particularly wide range of sounds on the amplifier, which skilfully translates both aggressive rock sounds and soft, cleanly played melodies and chords. In addition, the electric guitar is equipped with an active booster, which is activated via the push/push volume control and raises the signal by 12 dB, providing additional gain and volume reserves.

High-quality hardware

The Sterling by Music Man James Valentine Signature electric guitar is completed by a high-quality hardware equipment that promises unlimited functionality. Accordingly, the Sterling by Music Man Hardtail bridge with six string riders made of curved sheet metal sits on the body, which supports the attack thanks to the string through body guidance and also guarantees a perfectly adjusted intonation and string position thanks to the two-dimensional adjustability. From here the strings with the classic 25.5" scale length (648 mm) are guided in the direction of the enlarged headstock. Locking mechanisms in characteristic "4+2" arrangement provide a precise tuning.
