Flexible guitar preamp with first-class sound
With the DSM & Humboldt Simplifier DLX, the sound specialists from Santiago de Chile present the deluxe version of the popular Simplifier "Zero Watt Guitar Amp". While detailed simulations of preamp, power amp and speaker cabinet guarantee a particularly natural playing feel and sound experience, the two identically equipped channels of the Simplifier DLX cover the entire sound spectrum between glassy cleans and richly tearing lead distortion. In addition to a versatile reverb effect, an FX loop and connections for direct recording complete the equipment of the Simplifier DLX by DSM & Humboldt.
Two identically equipped channels
At the heart of the Simplifier DLX are two identically equipped channels that can be used alternately or in parallel to build a stereo setup. While Channel B offers a rounded sound thanks to its classic tuning, the "pushed" Channel A adds asymmetrical clipping for a more aggressive but still cultivated sound character. In addition to three gain modes for basic distortion, each channel features three amp voicings that recreate the sound of British and American amps in detail. In addition, each channel of the Simplifier Deluxe has a classic Tone stack with interacting controls for bass, middle and Treble.
The DSM Humboldt Simplifier DLX has two identically equipped channels with extensive options for adjusting the perfect guitar sound.
Power amp and speaker simulation, reverb
To provide a particularly natural playing feel and sound experience, DSM & Humboldt equips each channel of the Simplifier Deluxe with a "Zero Watt" power amp and speaker simulation. In addition to Presence and Resonance controls for the final sound character, each power amp comes with three selectable, perfectly matched tube voicings. The speaker simulation, on the other hand, offers three different-sized guitar cabinets and the possibility to determine the position of the virtual microphone. Last but not least, the reverb effect with Room, Ether or Plate mode gives the sound a harmonious three-dimensionality.
Extensive connections
In addition, the Simplifier DLX from DSM & Humboldt comes up with extensive connections that make it the perfect sound centre on the Pedalboard. While the effect path can be adapted to your own way of use by means of extensive setting options, balanced and unbalanced outputs allow the removal of the guitar signal, whereby the speaker simulation can be bypassed if desired. furthermore, the Thru-Output outputs the unprocessed input signal for setting up a second signal chain. For silent practice with first-class sound, there is also a headphone jack with its own level of control.
