DiMarzio ClipLock Quick Release Guitar Straps have been used for years by Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci and many other professional musicians.
DiMarzio ClipLock strap is the industry standard for strength, security and quality. ClipLock Quick Release Guitar Straps attach securely to your guitar with two sturdy bushings and extra-long screws sized to fit the strap bushing screw holes on most electric guitars and basses.
The DiMarzio ClipLock Quick Release Guitar Strap is made of high quality automotive seatbelt material for its comfort, strength and durability. Unlike inexpensive polypropylene, nylon has a smooth, satin feel, allowing the guitar to slide freely during performance. (Ask Yngwie Malmsteen.) The fabric conforms to your body and adds a new level of comfort, yet it is strong enough to hold over 150 pounds!
The DiMarzio ClipLock Quick Release Guitar Straps adjust in length from 43 to 63 inches (109 -160 cm), measured between the strap buttons. Featuring a heavy-duty plastic clip that allows you to easily change from guitar to guitar with a little fingertip pressure. It is the most secure and unique fastening method available to safeguard your guitar.

The simple ideas are the best. So it is with this DiMarzio guitar strap. Using it, you shall never "lose" your guitar...
Now - the installation.
You have to use screwdriver to attach both ends of the strap to the guitar body (in place of old strap pins). After that is done, you simply clip your strap. Simple and effective.
Pros:
- your guitar will never slide off the strap (you may nasty dance on the stage being sure your guitar will stay with you)
- you may use one strap for many guitars (yes, you have to buy and screw the strap endings to all guitars, obviously)
- lightweight and rather comfortable
Cons:
- the one drawback I found - if you have nicely profiled guitar case, with tight guitar fit, you may find no place for that strap (those strap ends - clip locks - screwed to guitar body have quite big plastic parts). I couldn't fit a Strat with the clip locks screwed, into a SKB case (SKB FS-6).
The first time I saw this system I wondered if it were safe enough to use those on heavy-duty gigs with a heavy guitar. Those clips just didnt look sturdy enough to hold a guitar that long. But now Ive bought it for myself to put on a guitar with a heavy maghony body, and Im pleasantly surprised with the quality and strength of the clips and the strap itself.
And dont worry about the strap coming loose from the guitar. The strap is connected at the place where your normal strapbuttons would take place with screws larger and wider than normal strapbutton screws, so you know it stays in the wood, even when youre playing on softer wood.
I would absolutely recommend this.
